Couple of pics in the Brisbane middle river Gallery,

Pulled my pots up off my dads Jetty last Thursday, and apart from a couple of nice muddies, there were four Estuary cod.

Smallest was just under legal (33cm) - largest was 55cm (and good eating too!)

Now how easy is this? I have been trying to hook a good one for a while - cheating?:S

Anyway, I think it was my baiting technique inside the pots - all of these fellows scoffed 15cm mullet whole.

Anyway - I'm impressed! Easy release out of the pots too!

Might be worth a flick with some hard bodies down that way.

good idea - never mastered hard bodied lures, but if the cod are around, sounds like a good place to learn!

One good size muddy & the cod made a pretty nice friday night seafood platter - both very tasty - no ill effects, so I'm pretty happy with how the river has cleaned up these days
