yep sure, cobaki bridge off kennedy drive at tweed heads, first of the going out tide after dark. moon stage is not important. small lumo soft plastics fished on small jigheads and 4lb braid, 15lb leader. strike hard to set the hook and hold on. garbage to eat but go real hard and jump more than a barra.

are you having trouble loading pics?? just d/l the AFO resizer (community tab, downloads) and use that. Otherwise just re-size in paint to 500x500 and you'll be able to post

I used to get a few tarpon around the 400mm mark in my cast net at pimpama river near the weir. I used to fillet them for jacks and cod, dinamite for bait.

average size is around 50 70cm

I have caught tarpon in cairns by accident, great fighting fish, they jump out and carry on, would love to get them down on the coast, well done jigman

I would be more than happy to put anyone interested onto a few tarpon, just PM me if your interested. Only condition is that it has to be at night on an outgoing tide. one eighth TT jigheads on a 2 hook and a packet of atomic 2 inch lumo grubs or shads is all you need.

does it mater what size the tides are ? or just any out going tide at night using some of the previously suddgested lures and work them hard enough I might get a result.I might go down and give it a crack it sounds fun.
