Stocking Lake Samsonvale Today

This morning a delivery of 22,000 Golden Perch was transfered into Lake Samsonvale by the volunteers from PRFMA.

Total released fish for NPD this year now stands at 85,000.

There is a couple of photos attached, the first one shows the tanker being unloaded and this time Andrew saw me coming with the camera.

PRFMA starts them young, 3 generations getting together to release some fish for the future.

is there an issue with birds hanging around and picking off the goldens? or do they swim straight down and hide?

Good to see so many fingerlings released!

THey go straight into the weeds etc. The birds are not educated enough to recognise the fingerlings being released.Not like when they see a trawler lift its nets.

I was at dam this morning and only a couple of shags in the ramp area which is pretty normal.
