Afteran extended no fishing break I finally got my boat in the water. We went to NPD mainly to deploy the redclaw pots. I did have some worms so after deploying the pots we tried to see if the bass would be interested. It got a bit frustrating watching Dino pulling bass one after the other when the only fish interested in worms were gar and one tilapia that was dropped at side of boat.

Checked the pots on the way home and was pleasantly surprised to score 21 good sized redclaw.Best pot had 8 in it whilst the others only had 2 or 3 in them.

Crew didnt want the redclaw so Kriso had a small score.

Yeah I've never caught anything decent in fresh water on worms!

You did well with the pots, same place as last time?

I have a couple of pots in the old places but have placed the others in new " old " places and that is where we did the best.

Dino did ok on lures and I think most fish caught on the dukes lures.

small score is a massive understatement !i have never seen redclaw so big!!! thanks again ray it really made my day! will put up a photo of the end result later.

A mates dad jagged a 3 foot Murray on one a few years ago. I've collected a small one on a worm. You don't wanna be using the poor excuse for worms they sell though - you've gotta dig your own from the river bank !
