resolved Tagging

As I am approaching the age of a dinosaur, I am ignorant of what "tagging" is in relation to website speak. I have been tagged by someone with a photo or something or other and do not understand the whole concept.

Where I come from being "tagged" with something is not necessarily a good thing.

Fellow AFOers, please enlighten me so I may at least feel young again. :blush:

I think its when someone puts your name to a photo when you scroll over it the tagged name comes up.

So how young am I ?

Yep, often a little square will come up over your face (or whatever has been tagged). Basically helps outsiders identify people in photo's. Commonly used in social networking sites like Facebook

Usually you can 'untag' yourself too if the photo is not flattering

No photo of me could be considered flattering, even when wearing my new corduroys...except when the little square covers my face....so tagging sounds like a good thing :laugh:
