queensland bay islands/offshore on saturday

Fished the bay islands and offshore saturday,

fishing was relatively quiet we were chasing the wahoo but ended up with a mac tuna and a good 10kg samsonfish caught off the bottom on a yakka.

fished the bay islands a bit for a 62cm cod on a chief threadybuster

heaps and heaps of boats taking advantage of the bay glass-off!

what a difference a few kilometres make, I was at Bribie and entered into the Bay about 9am and the weather was crap from you pics it looks like another state, where are the boat ramps to get there?

the southern bay was great, bit of chop early on and the sth passage bar was pretty angry (quite a few boats turned around) but offshore it was quite good, around 1m of swell at the most

tons of boat ramps to access the southern bay, cleveland, wello pt, raby bay to name a few

cod wasn't mine dave i scored a big donut personally, Ben was happy with the cod hasnt been out for a while

no mate only some schools of bonito but didnt spend long hitting the islands.
