long or short shaft

gooday,

shaft length depends on your transom height. usually you would have short,long and extra long shaft. just measure your transom from where the motor bracket sits on your transom to the bottom of your boat. I think long shaft is 25". but if you have this measurement and tell the dealer , you will get the right one.I hope this helps

Shaft Length

Measure from the top of the transom (directly where the engine will be mounted) down to the bottom of the hull, lowest point.

Measure the area of measuring existing outboard: Measure from the inside top of mounting bracket down to anti-cavitation plate above propeller

14†– 17.25†15†Shaft (Short)

17.25†– 19.5†this depth can sometimes be specifically one or the other.

19.5†– 22.5†20†Shaft (Long)

22.5†– 27†25†Shaft (Extra-Long)
