Anyone casted any prawns mid river?

Just wondering if anyone has caught any prawns around, Fig Tree Pocket, Jindalee, St Lucia, west end or even Newfarm or Bulimba?

Or any mid river areas? Last time I tried at Fig Tree pocket boat ramp I got zilch and the next night tried Bulimba yacht club boat ramp and got zilch again.

Tide is dead low around 6 so it does not look good.

with the colder weather set in, prawns will be few and far between net casts

I, latley have gotten 10 - 20 a nite around 30m right from the boat ramp off the rock wall at fig tree pocket.

usually go there to get prawns and mullet befor going ne where else.

yeah I have been trying Oxley creek pontoon, with about 1 prawn every 20 casts, got two prawns yesterday, so I did not venture any further.

I got a few there a week ago and did quite well on a lightly weighted live prawn (15lb leader) thrown into the shallows (at another location not the pontoon).

I did not get any today.

Yeah its been pretty quiet since that cold snap kicked off about 2 weeks ago. Seen a few moving round the tinny ck but they're few and far between.
