Shimano Speedmaster Telescopic Rod

Gday guys,

Looking at buying a Shimano Speedmaster telescopic rod.... and yes, i know, i know... so ur thinking telescopic rod??

Was visiting Tackle warehouse last week, checkin out the Shimano Jewel til something caught my eye, The shimano Speedmaster. Made from Carbon Fibre and fully telescopic. I was sceptical about it but then when the chap workin there came over and said watch this... Bent it to the extreme and didnt hear a crackling sound from it! Looked very impressive. Cost?? $195 bucks...

Anyone owned, used or have heard reviews for this rod? Sorry no pics..

my friend was looking into telescopic rods...

he bought one a few weeks ago and so far he says its a pretty awesome rod. im not too sure which one he bought exactly. he still uses his old rod everytime he goes fishing, but says that the telescopic one is not too bad if you can afford it.

Many of the Taiwanese students I know use them and they love them. Would be great to travel with and always have one in the car.
