i bought a 2nd hand shimano tyrnos with a live fibre wilson rod for $250, is this a decent price?

hi mate, i think its slightly higher than reasonably priced. If it was to go for $200 then i would say its def worth the buy... but then again, depends on the condition..

20s are 300 and more for the 30s new, live fibre over 100 so thats a decent buy if its in good nic... ill give ya $150 :laugh:

it's a live fibre tournament rod by L.Wilson 15-24kg, yeah its in nearly new condition. it should do the job for what i need

Rod alone new is 230 odd. Sounds like an alright buy to me if its in ok nick. The more you use it the more you'll get your money's worth.

Is the tyrnos the 2 speed model or the normal mate?

I had first hand experience of that exact set up just last week. Two of the guys I was fishing with have them. One the 2 speed, the other just the normal, both on live fibre rods. Pretty impressive set up, handled some decent red emperor well. They seemed pretty happy with them as well.
