High Speed trolling lures

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knew of a cheap-ish alternative in high speed (like up to 20kn) trolling lures? Just want to be able to throw one out behind the boat while driving around bait schools/current lines etc offshore, never know, might get lucky!

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Make your own with feathers and a bit of tinsel?

My grandad used to make his own feather lures and we would hook up on big Taylor.

just metal slugs would work good.

halco tremblers stay down

squidgy slick rigs troll very fast too and they sink fast as well and cast great strong hook and cheap

drop bear slick rigs for offshore doin that sort of thing around the bait schools.

I was reading on friday in a mag about game fishing at the airport about a deep diver that can be trolled at 20knotts.

have a look on ebay for mastablasta and castablastas

try halco tremblers or any of that style of bibless lures

The River2Sea ones are good too. Think they are called terminator vibes.

Good value with big single hooks meaning ypu have a chance at staying connected to billfish.
