LOWRANCE ELIE 5 ?

Hi all

i have just brought a new Lowrance Elite 5 souinder gps combo

i have only used it once and i can hear the transducer clicking

i could not hear this on my old humminbird sounder

is it normal to hear the clicking of the transducer

have a quick google for lowrance problems transducers this should help, sounds like the transducer is either not on properly or needs replacing according to the different threads

Quite normal some just click louder than others. Nothing to worry about.

Two sounders I've had were clickers.

No problem, just annoying sometimes.

Mate I have the elite 5x and ticks like a bastard but that is quite normal as I had the same worry when I but mine in.When you locate the fish you can put then on standby mode to stop the ticking

I have the Elite 5 as well and it ticks as well. does not seem to effect my fishing
