Reel help

Hi everybody, I'm looking at getting a new all-round budget set up for offshore. The rod is no problem, will probably be along the lines of a Raider 6-10kg. I need some help choosing a reel to suit. I usually go for Shimano but am open to anything. I am looking at a few Daiwa reels all around my budget up to $200. I am looking at the "Emcast Sport 4500", "Phantom J 4500" and the "Regal Plus BRi 5000". Has anyone got any opinions on these reels? I would appreciate your thoughts or suggestions on other similar reels.

best advice i can give ya is look at what a lot of the offshore fisho's use... i bet there will be a bait runner there somewhere that thay have had for years without any trouble. 1 of the best all round reels i believe, but get the old style if ya can ! havent heard much bout the new stuff apart from them havin all the bling !

I have 4 shimano baitrunners, oldest is 18yrs and never had a minutes trouble with them, don't do a great deal of offshore thou. Great reels as Rob say's. As you i have one on a raider 6-10 and a raider 5-8kg snapper rod.

How about the Penn Slammer Live Liner, anyone used these?

I have been checking out a few US sites and you can get some of these reels for almost half price but they do not give you a price on shipping. Has anyone bought stuff from these sites and roughly how much was the shipping cost?
