queensland shornecliffe delivers the goods again

hey, me and my mate went up to shorecliffe again yesterday and both scored some lovly fish

my mates threadie, the threadie was 1m

and the bullie was 1m as well (let go)

every thing was caught on live prawns and herreng also got a few bream and things like that

so we had a great day

Threadys from shorncliffe jetty? I thought it was just fished out and you only ever caught small bream and rays there. If threadies are there I might go down during the week of a night if you guys are keen for it?

isn't the water around cabbage tree creek pulluted with blind mullet atm and you cant eat anything for ages?

yee the water is really dirty atm, but mate ate the thready he said it tasted fine but we let go the bull shark

The fish won't really taste any different, it will just be the bacteria they are carrying around with them that will be the downer. It will normally give you an upset belly for 24 hours after.

now why would cabbaget tree crk be polluted by turds the river didnt flood and if it flooded to the point the sewage works go under it will mean all of sandgate is completley submerged its about 8 metres past king tide height to the top of the tanks there

that aside there was a lot of debris being washed up from the bay but the river itself hasnt flooded at all this year

this doesnt meen the fish is safe to eat that i have no friggin idea about

I've fished the piney for years and never caught a Thready there or anywhere else for that matter, but spent the night out crabbing on Sat night 29th and caught my first 2 thready's in a cast net! Unbelievable!!

ive got threddys off baxters jetty about a year ago too, big ones hitting live herring, but sadly no match for bream gear so i still cant say ive landed one.... how do i know they were threddys??? buggers were jumping like crazy on hookup :woohoo:
