The moon phase looks good straight after the closure finishes only hope the weather is kind to let me out with the first week of april prime time for them. Should be a few big mackerel around as well so fingers crossed the weather comes good

coastwatch has the synoptic charts i've been looking at and starting to get a picture of what it may be like its my prefered weather site with many other features that comes in handy for the weather

i will go to straddie for the weekend and do a bit of landbase fishing around amity and try for another 80cm snapper dont like me chances but i will do my best

Mate, the ban no longer carries a fine. Qld govt put a press release out a couple of weeks back

Gcarj, The Press release was to do with no longer proposing an annual permit fee for snapper. It was not about penalties as such.

Penalties would still apply if the ban was still on.
