Good Friday Fishing MOreton Bay

Hi all been a member for a while and thought I'd do my first report

Went out from Manly about 4am yesterday and headed out to Harry Atkinson Reef heading out was perfect glassy like a lake which is perfect for me as only have a 3.9 Ally Craft when we got there it was a car park as we expected, found our spot and anchored up.

10min into i got a 80cm Blue Marwong (mother in law) put up a good fight on light gear though, not long after we had a triple hook up and all squire one 45cm and others went back. Dolphins were hanging around all morning but still the fish kept biting. Took home 5 squire from 42cm to 55cm and the mother in law, Headed home about 9am the wind and the swell started to pick up being the smallest boat out there by far and with 4 on board we though we head back.

All in all was a nice morning out and didn't end up eating the canned tuna for good Friday Lunch fresh fish was in order

It did a lot better than the John West Canned stuff he he, Also made the effort to make home made chips

Almost any fish you catch yourself tastes great because they are fresh and I am sure those snaps went down really well. The milf must have given you a decent workout, they go pretty hard. Nice catch.

the Milf did put up a good fight being the first fish in 2 was a good start, took a bit of drag out
