Roma Street Parklands

I cant beleive this,

The lagoon at Roma Street parklands is full of massive fish.

AND WE CANT FISH IT!!

Is this for safety reasons?

If not does anyone know why not?

oi yeha a few years ago they stocked it with lung fish, it would be rad if u could fish it. my dads work is like a 1 min walk from there.

It would be an excellent fishery... Close(to me), good fish and I would say fairly safe.

The guys at jones tackel got invited to fish roma street park lands, about 2 weeks ago. They got heaps of mullet and perch , they mullet was as big as the ones at nosssa, and the perch were taken on hard bodys. They are having a family fishing day there soon and im keen to go and get some mullet on breed and perch on h/b.

They should have a daily rate and allow fishing.

That would be so awesome having a fun fishery that close to home.

And the council could run it like the barra park and use the money to restock it etc.

yeh have it as catch and release only...no purchasing of fish, no keeping/stealing of fish, no netting of fish... and all money goes back to the fish!
