Saratoga up in HK!!

Hey all....

Up in Hk visiting family. Went fishing in a big dam this morning and caught some talapia on ecogear sx40 and px45 about 30cm long. Saw a big saratoga follow in one of my casts!!! What lures would work best to catch them??? The water is clear and i just worked the lures around the rock walls. The saratoga was big prob about 50cm+ any help would be great!! only got 13 mores days up here so would like to get him b4 i head back to brisbane!!!

depending on the water temp if cool give spinner baits a go and warmer water try surface lures good luck mate

suface is good but it needs to be warm

Thanks.... Its hot up here now!!! Was fishing by 5am and it was prob 28 degrees and 80% humidity!!! What models woulb be the best???

surface, jackals sk pop, pop queens, river to sea cercaders

and jackals, it good to have some tn50 and 60's aboard

um it can depend on the day realy. i have caught them on tn50 on morning and then that arvo, only on tn60 so it pays to hve a veriety of sizes.....

By HK take it you mean Hong Kong ?

Your Saratoga would be Scleropages formosus, most likely someones liberated pet, would go for a suspending lure myself wind and pause.

Be more interested in the Snakeheads that would be there myself lol.

would def have been someones pet..... On a similar website to afo some people were talking about large mouth bass being in the dam??

a lightly weighted plastic seems to kill them in other places when they're following topwater but not striking...

Pretty easy for someone to confuse I would say especially when only getting a birds eye view in the water of it...
