queensland Cabbage Tree Creek Tonight Any Tips?

Decided I would hit up Cabbage Tree Creek tonight as it is local and I haven't hit it yet. I will probably be land based (unless the bloke I met over drinks last night remembers that he offered to bring his boat )

Anybody have tips on where to fish it, better with bait or lures, etc?

If I can actually become competent with my cast net I'll probably try to collect some livies as well.
