queensland First outing for the season!

Hi all, this is my first reprt so forgive me if I stuff it up somehow!

Well after months of waiting for an opportunity to get out and wet a line, the weekend finally arrived. A trip , my 3rd time on my yak and my mates 1st, was planned for today. Someone forgot to tell mother nature though cause it was a little breezy!

We decided to head out around lunch as the forecast said the wind would ease early arvo! Ha!

After pushing through the wind for half an hour we decided the only option was to troll as we made our way up river, hopefully to a protected area.

After only 10 strokes of the blade, my mate was on to a nice bass around the 40cm mark. Seeing this I relocated closer to his mark and sure enough...Bang! Another 40+ Bass This continued on for the next hour or so, landing around 10 good size Bass between us, before we pushed further up river to try another spot..... Bad decision, Alot of effort for no result!

So we finished the afternoon off back where we started and ended up boating another dozen or so, and we left them biting!

Was an awesome day! Thanks for reading

Yeah it's just a typo! I didn't get home till dark and was knackered after paddling into the wind all afternoon. A few beers to finish the day and forgot what month it was when adding a title.. ooops! :silly:
