Bass 22/09/11

Me and Mal took a trip to one of our favourite little creeks yesterday. The bass were hitting surface lures from the moment we arrived. We lost count of how many fish we caught, but it was around 20 each in the 4 hour session. The average size was around mid 40's. My lure of the day was a cultiva zip 'n ziggy, but also had luck on sammy's and skitter pop's. Cheers..Dan

we saw 2 snakes, and YES i wonder where they go after dark. They scare the crap outta me!!

Ok I'm playing the n00b card, I honestly didn't think lures worked too well for night fishing...

Are there better suited lures for night fishing or does it really not even matter?

They have been on the surface for a few weeks now- What dan neglected to say was our last 3 night trips have returned over 150+ bass between us, majority on surface. Really fires at night. Last night was the slower of them.
