Hydraulic steering

Might look in to changing my cable steering over to hydraulic steering.

Do you buy the parts to suit the boat or the motor, or do they all do the same job and then just down to price.

Does the dealer need to install it.

Any advice will be greatly recieved.

I have a tournament boat with an evinrude motor.

Any idea of cost.

Cheers

Bri.

There is a number of kit types and configurations available depending on the type of motor, engine well space,Horsepower or max speed of the vessel.

There is side mount or front mount hydraulic rams, front, angled or rear mount helm pumps, ect.

You can buy a kit and then buy a hose kit that suits the length of the boat.

Once you know the kit you want they are quite easy to fit and setup.

If you want to send me a PM with your email address I can send you a PDF file I have with all types of kits or parts to make up a kit for the various engine types and sizes.
