Hey guys,

just wondering if anyone did any good in the river on Fri night ? there was a fair few boats out there. I spent 8 hrs out there, fished from newstead park to the poo shute. I was using live herring and prawns and only had one bite.

As i said there were other boats around so I am wondering did nobody do any good or is it somthing I am doing wrong

Hey mate it was pretty dead all yesterday went to mud got heaps of little squire. Had a few good runs but no hook ups got choppy so left and came in river around 8 got 4-5 soapie jewies 1 legal on plastics and went home. It was okay.

Picked em up from a few spots around the river. Look for structure with high tidal flow and bait fish youl catch a jewie. Mate got 7 legal two nights ago, all realised as river jewies dont taste that good in our opionion.

Try using plastic you have more chances white always works for me but last few weeks we been getting ours on micro mullet with 1/6 jig head or gulp shrimps with a 1/4 gig head.

Presistence is the key mate i lost count how many times i went out before catching my first legal one. I always found you get bigger jewies when there is taylor around.

I was out on Friday night, had a heap of surface hits from Tailor around the wharf pylons before the poo chute. Picked up a littly, you probably saw my green machine out. Hard to miss

Yeah mate I did see you out there actually. Will call over and say hi next time gunna try again this fri night, I wont give in til I get a jewy and a thready :evil:
