hey guys

hows the fishin been for you's lately? the last two weeks here have been absolutely poo house coming home with donouts alot of the time ! ! the weeks before that the fishing was firing up ? has anyone else noticed this? I'm pretty certain the surface air temp is too low but i'm not quite sure what is happenen? let us know how youre doing

yep. almost doughnutted at the coomera on Monday so I think the Goldy might be going through some tough times or the feeding habits and locations have just changed after all this rain.

yer it has been quiet but at least your out there, im on holidays & havn't had time to put the boat in the water yet. but ill be out over the next few days.

yeah we've had a few average sessions lately too, no reds but a few cod. weather is unusually cool which is kind of annoying, you're right surface air temp is low but it's way lower about 0.5m down in the water.

plenty of crabs (lots of jennies though).

Yep fishings been quiet for sure, it started well in November but has all but shut down since. I've finished work early this arvo and would usually been gagging to get out in the yak for a fish but the combination of crap weather and no fish means i've lost the enthusiasm to go, maybe in the morning.

I havent donutted for a while, some decent catches of jew recently and a legal snapper most times i have been in the river though last night was very slow, a just under legal cod a moray eel and a whole bunch of bait lost.

looks like they're hiding in all the illegal spots, either that or we'll have to use old fish pics to make up a report.

Come on Chris a bit of optimism please it can't be that bad, you caught a Barra and a big Jack in a week, most of us were green with envy.

If it gets too bad you might just have to go whiting fishing, you live in between 2 of the best banks in the Nerang River.
