Hey guys,

Recently I bought myself a tinny and a single man tube to go with it.

I was wondering where the best place to tube is, which is close to the mouth of the river? manly etc?

Cheers, Dan

I would be aiming for more protected waters, only places I have tubed are Pumicestone passage and Somerset dam. You will have a better time on the dam, but need a permit. Knowing how many big sharks are in the bay, I think the permit is worth every cent!

A good spot is in the southern part of waterloo bay just behind or western side of king island off wellington point there is a beach that runs out to the island off wello point and have tubed there with my kids before as for sharks they are every where there is tidal you got to be unlucky.

Tying off to the back of a tinny has been blamed for cracking welds so it's not the best idea, but you can take up some of the shock with a bridle fixed between 2 points
