Scat I.D please. ??

Hey guys,

Would appreciate an i.d if anyone can help and approx $ value if it were being sold as aquarium livestock. Just curious as i've seen smaller versions of what i think are the same fish selling for $20-40 each. This fish was released unharmed and I'm told the old man was lucky to have dodged a painful spine or two as well

yeah fishingnut i'm leaning towards the argus, google images show a little variation with body colour changing from browns, reds, silver and gold. That's the only reason i ask. cheers for the effort mate.

Yea it's a spotted scat.

I fish that size I could probably get $150 to $200 for it.

strange??? i keep catching the same two fish as that one out the river were i get my live bait when sharking strange cus there slways the same two fish i have been checking the markings on them and there definetly the same two fish over and over wonder if there a breading pair ???
