Scarborough Reef ???

Heading out to Scarborough reef tomorrow for the first time on a mates boat, i have a general idea where it is but still a lil unsure , Can anyone PM me some GPS locations that i can log in to make it easier for me to get on to the fish .

No need for GPS marks for Scarby Reef, head to the main part of the reef and quietly sound up some reef just out from the rocks, plenty to be found all over the area. Anchor off that so you can lob some unweighted baits near it. Pretty basic stuff and produces reasonable results. Biggest thing is to be as quiet as possible.

Yeah it isn't that hardest place to find some type of structure there. Some good fish to be caught to. I'm pretty sure angus got a legal or almost legal snapper there inthe bream social

You can't miss it. Its a couple of hundred metres east of the point with a pole sticking out of it. Most probably will be a host of other boats there. Keep an eye on the bottom!

Look for the couple of dozen boats and you'll find the spot . If you go further south you'll find some smaller reefs. Use the search function for old reports and you'll get some more detailed info.

No luck at all today caught a small chopper tailor on a threadybuster and about 100 pike but nothing else, really struggled to even get a bite on bait

Did you chuck any of those crankas of yours over the reefs? Usually a few bream holding up on them, and the good old 3" armor shads go well too. Ah well there's always next time

Yeah ant i tried everything today , lost a nice SX40 to a massive pike, sharp teeth dont go well on 6lb flouro lol

Yeah we moves around a fair bit, i did keep quite a few pike for strip bait and didnt even get a nibble
