G'day All,

I have recently returned from a trip overseas. During this six month absence, of both me and fishing, I have had nothing better to do than make some purchases, and drool over other blokes' reports.

So it is with great pleasure, that I submit my first report, detailing some of the things I have bought, and also my first fishing report.

First of all, the things I have bought.

A Daiwa Steez 100HA Baitcaster, paired with a Samurai Reaction 10-17lb rod.

A Daiwa Heartland 2500 Reel, which I have paired with one of the old rods.

A Navionics Gold SD card, &

A boat (Rob's (Zim-man's) old boat. A 4.0m Quintrex Widebody.

Although I haven't had a chance to take it out on the water yet, due to a lack of licence and other minor dramas, I havce managed to get out on Blair's boat, and we managed two snaps, the biggest going 46cm approx. The feel of a decent fish on the end of the rod was sublime, and I can't wait to get out again for a fish.

Anyway, that is it for me for the moment, and I look forward to posting some more reports very soon.
