Work sent me out on a charter boat for my birthday, only told me about it the day before.

We put in at southport and went out the spit and found some reefs out a way. Caught easily 40+ Tailor between 6 people on the charter ( all on ganged pillies ). We had some livies out the back, and soon enough one started screeming. As birthday boy I had the privilege of reeling in the first big one.

Pulled in a big Mack Tuna, got over 30 steaks out of him.

Later another Tuna was pulled up, then after a change of reefs up came a 4.5foot Cobia!

wow sounds like your boss is pretty nice, be careful of what he needs you to do on monday though.

do you eat cobia?

Yeah we had some Cobia for lunch on friday .. tasted great.

Mike, a friend I took with me ate some of the Tuna on thursday night, both as sashimi and bbq'd steaks. He said it was awesome.

The Taylor I shared a few around, and froze the rest for bait/berley on my Harvey Bay trip in Sept.
