queensland Dead Forktail Catfish and the Brisbane River

Went for a fish for the first time on the upper Brissy river yesterday - I only got in about an hour and a half of fishing but I got nothin

I also met a (father and son?) in a canoe who had fished all day for only one bass.

There were lots of fish showing up on the sounder.... maybe I'll go back there with bait and I might do better...

With all the dead Catfish in there that people were picking up the other day, how/why did they all die and why are there only Catfish that are dead?

The bass are probably still sulking a little after the convention a couple of weeks ago, check out sweetwater for info on the dead catties I think it is something to do with high oxygen levels but don't quote me, elops might know more about it.
