queensland A few late ones from the weekend in the bay!

Hey all,

Dan25 and I decided the bay was on the cards for an early morning snapper session around a few reefs which were easy to get to in a small tinny: P

We were out at first light and greeted with some awesome weather with a glassy top to it.

A few casts in and I hooked myself into a beast which decided to RUN! And RUN it did!

A few minutes into the fight I was into my backing with all my 3lb braid out and my bream stick getting an intense work out.

20 minutes later up pops my PB snapper which gave me some curry on 2lb leader getting me into the reef a couple of times.

This fella went 61cm’s and was one of the best fights I’ve had in ages! 2lb leader and 3lb matched on a 1-3kg rod did the work here!! he fall to a JURO firebait minnow with a 1/12th.

We went through lots of undersize but also managed a couple more legal’s as well as the good old bream, Grassy’s and even good so see some cod..

I was manly chucking JURO firebait minnows, Armor shads, 2nich shrimps

and Dan chucked, Armor shads, 2inch shrimp, 4inch minnows, Austackle lures.

Thats a crackin fish on light line it will be hard to forget a fish like that congrats on your PB snap
