Go and get yourself some yabbies from the banks up behind the lake they are the best yabbie banks and try any bend in the creek for good whiting look for the edges of the sand banks. Up past the the 2 bridges that are side by side go another few minutes and you reach a playground just past there is some good snags of big old trees laying over in the creek its a good spot for jacks

good luck

I fish Tallibudgera a bit and have had a fair bit of success flicking soft plastics on low tide and also like Tugger said fresh yabbies work awesome for whiting also.

below is a few easy locations to get you started, just browse around the shallows and look for dropoffs, snags etc.

There is a fair number of fish in this system but I would go early or late because boat traffic is herendous in this area.
