Tassie Devils

So I am reliably informed that Tassie Devils are the new gun lure. I've seen them and have heard of impressive takes - a massive toga recently - for one. But where do you get a good one, how do you play it and what are they worth. Will AFO be getting them for the shop, is ZimMan already on the prowl for them, is Pontoon creating the latest and greatest? How has everyone gone on them?

I saw some Tassies in BigW the other day.

Jimmybob used to swear by them.

Mine have never been near a fish, as far as I could tell anyway.

Not worth worrying about unless you use it on a handline. I like the ones made 15 years ago. Seem to go ok but only with original hooks.

Seriously they have been around for years and were very popular with some members on this forum.

We had good results casting from the bank at Baroon pocket for bass and spangles.

You right mate, NZ trout love them.

We always trolled them in Lake Taupo either with downriggers or lead line to get them down deep.

Used to be popular at NPD back in the day.... But so was anything from slugs to spinners etc.

apparently they used to pick up heaps of flatties as well. Pretty sure I've never caught anything on them
