I can't speak for NZ, but as for our bay there has been a lot more shark activity for me, every time I have gone fishing this summer I have got onto shark... Not complaining its Been fun on light gear landing them and fighting them through their acrobatic tricks and jumps, I just wouldn't jump out the boat and go for a cool off like I have in previous times... but the flake on the dinner table has been nice

i know there are heaps of guys out there that have plenty of encounters with alot of sharks and lots bigger but the blues are normaly very shy and dont hang around . there is allso another link there for a mako wich is interesting
