Too early for the pots?

Just seeing if everyone thinks it might be too early to put the pots out for a soak tonight?? Water qaulity is still pretty average but thought it might have fired the crabs up.

What do people think?

If the water isnt moving quickly (non tidal) then you might be in with a chance, I have a great spot where its about 4 meters deep off a very shallow bank, they seem to like that, sitting down in the salt, you got nothing to loose.

iam going to give it a go on friday arvo dropping them just out from some creek mouths.

2 hour soak for three good bucks. Left them in for the night!!

The pro crabber is back in the river so i would believe they will be running during this fresh flush just keep a good eye out for debri there is plenty of big logs etc around that would sink a boat speeding along

My neighbour got a dozen in the Logan yesterday russell island side of Marks rocks. Says the pots were all soaked in 4-5 metres of water. He was avoiding the shallows.

The sandies are out in force in the south of the bay, got 9 yesterday morning then 12 last night, the pots have been out all week. Happiness is lots of crab dinners.
