queensland Shark Fishing at Caloundra?

Hello Everyone,

Thought i would get in early and get info before the holidays.

Has anyone tryed for sharks at caloundra area. I plan to fo a fair bit of fishing and i want to fish sharks and what ever else is around. Please post what you think of the topic just wanted to know if it can produce the goods.

Sharks are everywhere mate

Hit military jetty and use either eel or live mullet ect of a night

You will get good Jew, flathead, cod, jack and bream on the run out

I would suggest wherever you pick you choose carefully. Sunshine Coast and in particular Caloundra is a highly populated beach.

You start telling people you are shark fishing, or look like you are and you can draw a lot of attention to yourself. Some positive, some negative.

Also bear in mind shark nets, drum lines etc in the region.
