1st time fishing the brissy for bass tomorrow.

If the weather holds up I'll hit the Brissy tomorrow for Bass.

Any advise on best place to launch Kayak at this time of year?

Harpeng Road or The Bends on the road between Fernvale and Lowood?

There are still plenty of fish up there but they will be a little timid, best options for lures would be bibless cranks/vibes and spinnerbaits fished deep and slow around midwater structure. They are a bit quiet but you will still be able to get some good fish. As for the launch I'd go with Harpeng Rd if you want to fish the upper reaches toward the dam, it's a relatively easy launch and puts you pretty much straight into fishable water.

I really don't know what we're going to do once the season finishes, I have all these grand plans of hitting the bay and trying to learn a few dams but in reality I'll probably just sleep in and wait for summer again

I think the wind will be a pain and I don't run a sounder so mid water structure will have to be found bumping along the bottom.

I think running jackalls on 4lb is asking for trouble.

So I'll be asking for trouble. :whistle:

Nah 4lb is fine, just run a heavier leader. No more Rareniums sorry mate but I'm glad you are happy with it
