queensland Big tides - A fish, but not what I hoped it was....

Managed to sneak out yesterday morning for a fish out the pin. Plan was to fish the turn of the morning tide with big plastics, and hope for some silver.

As the tide started to run out, the sounder came alive. We had three hits in two drifts and finally hooked up. A few head shakes and I thought I had hooked a pretty decent jewie. After a couple of minutes I ended up bricked.... the stress levels were through the roof. After some handy work on the leccy, fighting the tide the entire way, I managed to pull this bad boy out.

Although it wasn't silver.... the fact he made it to the boat made up for it :whistle:
