queensland Bait Fishing at the beacons

I am running a bit low on bait and in the past I have 'shot' over to the beacons with a bait jig. The problem is that this has been in the warmer months. I would like to go out tomorrow but i am unsure if the bait schools are around in the cooler months.

I hope someone might be able to assist,

Yeah they should be there still this time of year you just have to locate them if 1 beacon doesn't have them try another and they are not always right on the beacon just have a sniff around best time for bait collection is early in the morning

No nibbles yet, but you never know. I have put my name down for work (I only work part time) to see if I can get any extra cash towards some of the house costs. If I am not working I will go out for a bit of bait fishing. We will have to try and catch up to go out sometime in the bay?

I might see you out there, however If I am out I will be at the Southern end of Moreton Island (4 Beacons).

Sweet, I'll only be at Scarborough reef or cockle banks filling the esky with whiting, and hopefully a squire from the reef?

Mate I got caught up preparing some work for tomorrow.

I ended up just getting whiting

Bagged out in about two hours, boring to catch good to eat,

Had a crack at the reef early, no luck
