a Croc at the Pin (1/9/2013)

Hey all,

I went out to the Pin with the future brother in law last Sunday to chase some lizards.

Conditions were a bit tough as there was a fair bit of wind and couldn't fish the usual spots and didn't even get a chance to fish the mouth. We decided to stay within some of the sheltered channels and flick some plastics.

I got the first fish of the day which was a 48cm lizard. Perfect table size so kept it for a feed.

After that, not much was happening until my in law hooked onto to this big girl!!!

She was hooked in only half a metre of water and was awesome to see the whole fight!!!

I had the privilege of netting her and what a net job I did!!! :P

She went 86cm (which was equal to his PB) and estimated weight was 4kg...

We pulled up onto the bank after a few photos and released her in the shallows to make sure she swam away okay.

Even though it was a tough day fishing (only 2 flatties and a couple of tailor + a dirty ell) we called it quits after about 4 hours out on the water.

The Pin is starting to fire up!!!

Cheers for reading
