Fishing the pine dam

Hi all.

After posting an earlier looking for friends post I was lucky enough to be taken out by the brilliant wrayke1938. He showed me a cracking day out on his boat on the pine bay near Petrie we saw some good fun on light tackle with a few yellows and some bass along with catfish and a nibbling little turtle. A brilliant bit of fun on the water and thank you again wrayke1938.

When I got home I got a phone call from another forum member that I then bought a kayak and sounder from so I'm looking at hitting the estuaries or rivers on that but not being a seasoned pro in a kayak would be seeking a kayaking friend to test out the gear with. Lol don't I sound like a kid that's never done anything in his life. Hahaha.

Anyway great day fishing followed by a great purchase .

Now to try out the kayak at some point

I've seen pics of some of the fish the Poms eat over there and they look downright weird to me!

I think that freshwater fish in oz are good to eat We don't eat freshwater fish in the uk except trout and salmon. Some people have eaten freshwater fish but I would advise against it as they taste awful. It's a little different in oz as they are bigger and not so small as uk
