Hi all, i fished thompsons beach in the rain and wind today but had a pretty good result. Managed a 50ish cm flatty on a prawn imitation soft plastic as the tide started to run out but couldnt get anymore interest on the placcies after this. The overcast sky and increasing speed of the runout tide convinced me to give the surface lures a go and in came a small squid. After this the bream came on the chew and in came half a dozen of them up to 35cm. Lost a cracker too that felt much better but ill never know. The bream shut down after i dropped the good one and just as i was thinking of leaving a good flattie casually followed my sugarpen into the shallows around me and inhaled it. Awesome!

yep too windy for the yak, pity as i was wondering if that spanish was still doing tuff laps through the bait out further.

Good to see some of the bigger bream starting to come in. With the real drop in temp this weekend should see them down that way really come on the bite.
