Good Snags NPD

I previously thought that all snags out at NPD were bad but there is one type of snag that I do like - Tai's snags  This morning Dad and I headed out for a session with Steve (fenelious) at NPD. The fishing wasn’t hugely fast but with the good company and a slow and steady stream of fish it made the morning very enjoyable. I would really like to thank Tai for the great sausage sizzle – what great service!

We started off fishing near Ray (mainly because the smell of sausages enticed us to come over :P ) but soon left them in search of a big yella for Steve. Got to the next spot and it wasn’t long before he got a nice 46cm yella shortly followed by a thumper 52cm model (A new PB for Steve!). It almost had him bricked but with a bit of skill he got it in the boat!

We then decided to call it quits as it was beginning to get quite hot and we were almost out of shrimp. Thanks for your company Steve, look forward to catching up again soon.

Hey look, I'm famous!

Great shot of me in action with my very awesome and high quality spincast reel

I was pretty happy to beat my very modest 50cm Yella PB! And there's still a fair bit of wiggle room to upgrade it again in the future!

Thanks again to you and your dad for taking me out James.

I'll have to put you onto that elusive PB now ;)

-Steve.

Hi James

After seeing your birthday present I thought I would share my favourite cod surface lure. These are hand made by a guy in Victoria. I have 3 and never want to loose one.

I have seen many meter plus cod caught on these and the hardware stands up.

The name is 'Doof Doc' it spells Cod Food backwards.

They look really good!!! I will be very interested to see if I get much interest from the cod on the pompadour. Have you ever used one? I think my best birthday present will be getting my Learners  On the 16th of November the streets will become a dangerous place :P:P:P

and your dad will be over it all by the 17th ;)

Dropped my boat on the bottom twice in the last week before i realised the road is really leveling out and I actually need to back the car in further ;)

never had to put the back wheels in the water before, at any dam!
