3rd times a charm

Hey all,

Haven't really done a report before as haven't owned a computer since moving into my new place 11 months ago! Anyway before this Jack tournament kicks off (brilliant idea Angus), I thought I'd get some practice in since I've never caught a jack before nor really targeted them. I tried once last year down tally creek last summer but could only find some small trevs. This week I stayed up at Bribie a couple nites and went up Elimbah creek where I found a nice spot to launch the yak and went on my way early wed morn..found a nice deep hole with a nice snag which produced 2 really strong hook ups but both got off! One I suspect was a jack as darted in all directions towards snags before it got off..anyway I only got couple of bream there. Now for the 3rd attempt I went down to Coomera river this morning and finally landed my first jack on a 2 inch grub in motor oil..Now its no monster by all means at 17cm lol but with a dud tide I'm stoked! Plus i've never fished that spot before. Also got a couple of moses perch but small also. Now to catch a larger model for the tournament!
