got out this morn the tuna were on the job again after, ate most things, troy landed one on a gulp which tied the rod up for a while. found a good number of fish in the 50m reefs, put some good perlies and squire into the esky, chiselled away at them for most of the day till the limits came up. conditions were fishable,southerly current was the worst thing couldnt hold on the fish easy like the wkend before, forecast was 10-15 yesterday feral,its blowin out today.

the plastics are working really well, i normally use baits as i string 3-4 on and try to get a trifecta, but its good sport getting them on light spin gear.

Nice one guys! What size spin reel do you use? I am assuming for a depth of 50m you could still use a 2500? Or is that pushing your luck.

4000 size angus, u could use a 2500 but it would wear the reel fairly hard with the constant winding and small spool would be slower. yeh i found the same on the rum, troy wanted to know why i didnt wanna get up before sunrise lol
