Stay safe folks, there is the possibility of some SHTF moments out there.

For people in the Brisbane City, Moreton Bay and parts of the Ipswich, Logan, Gold Coast, Redland and Sunshine Coast Council Areas.

Issued at 4:44 pm Friday, 1 May 2015.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 4:35 pm, very dangerous thunderstorms were detected on weather radar near Brisbane CBD, Strathpine, Caboolture, Narangba, Burpengary and Wamuran. These thunderstorms are slow moving. Very dangerous thunderstorms are forecast to affect Sunnybank Hills, Archerfield, Brisbane Airport, Beachmere and Beerburrum by 5:05 pm and Logan City, Redcliffe, Scarborough, Dayboro, Mount Beerwah and Peachester by 5:35 pm.

Very heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding.
