Hello my fellow fisherpeople. so its been a long time since ive been on here or posted but im back and with a vengenace!!!!!! I promise i have a very good reason which of course im about to share with you all now and i hope you enjoy my journey as i have and the skills ive learnt getting to where i am now!

sp last year i made an investment into a boat! 12.5ft fiberglass with a trailer and a years rego! set me back $500 not a bad buy (a friend upgraded and offered me a deal). AWESOME!!!!! and this was the boat at the time

Anyway came with an 8hp motor which although not fast does the job.

so After a couple of extensive fishing trips with a couple mates (yes i can fit 3 a little cramped but we have enough room) and we noticed that the boat was filling with water not alot but enogh to notice it after around 4 hours out. a quick bail out and we were good for another few hours. unfortuantly every subsuquent fishing trip it kept getting worse to a point where it had to be taken off the water it was a very sad day indded!!! :(

This my friends is why i havent been on for awhile. but i am pleased to announce that as of this sunday the boat is back better than ever.

first job was stripping back the hull and rebuilding her. After stripping her back i found quite a bit of dodgey work and was no longer surprised that she was leaking water (i was more surprised she hadn't sunk earlier!) so the rebuild commenced and after several hours of labourous work i had this

excellent were making progress (top 2 photos are her stripped back bottom 2 are glassed up)

so a little paint and the hull was complete.

although the job was far from complete next the interior needed an overhaul. about 20kgs of unessacry "options" were removed and the rotting floor taken out. then came the job of putting the new floor in with a slight design modification this is what she looked like now

then came the next job........the trailer20151106_141053.thumb.jpg.b82166b91a6957

this was the rear of the trailer or what was left of it so a new rear end had to be made up its lucky i like a nice ass :P

sp woth that done all that was left was a coat of paint and here is the end result

all up including the original $500 purchase price she has set me back a total or $1143.25 and im happy with that!

i hope you enjoyed the post and i hope you catch plenty of fish!

Well done and a great job. With that state of that trailer, I know you were surprised you didn't sink, I was surprised you made it to the ramp. I did a similar 'off the water, maintenance thing' to my boat earlier this, nothing on the scale of yours, but I was amazed at how much time things take. So well done for doing that it in a couple of months, it's hard going and painful to not be out there when you hear of the fish biting, but it's all worth it.
