Fishing Grounds Close To Double Island Point

Gday folks, what a beaut Wednesday morning....

Does anyone know of fishing grounds which will potentially hold fish at this time of year, close to double island point? I'll be camping there later next month - with my mates 5m, 6mm plate boat in tow. We'll most likely launch from Rainbow beach, but from there we are lost in regards to finding fish, and what we can expect. Had anybody fished the area?

Not offshore. Not my area.

But the point land based is good fun

My noosa mates have been getting cracking fish on the shallower reefs off northshore.

@Angus how to the pinnacles fish at this time of year?

All inshore reefs fish really well off DI and Fraser this time of the year.

You should also see some Spanish next month and some Tailor still hanging around off the beaches and headlands.

The 60m line is really good for all the favorite species if the currents are not raging but the sharks will annoy you somewhat out there.

I do not know pinnacles off sunshine coast.
