queensland Anyone Know Where I Can Catch Freshwater Yabbies Not To Far From Tweed

im staying at tweed for the holidays and i was gonna try to get some fresh water yabbies for bait and eating, i am already aware of rules about fishing in NSW so no need to warn me. Any spots to catch them will be much appreciated.

Hey Yabbyman, The only place I know would be Hinze dam. They get a few red claw in there.

There are plenty of redclaw in the dams and you will find some in your local creeks but perhaps not in big numbers. Just find some fresh water and put in a pot. There is a very good chance you will get some.

If you are keen, take a rod with you . The dams are probably filled with Tillapia and they are very active this time of year. They are a pest fish so kill em if you catch em
