This is my leg a week later, after slipping over in the pelican poo at the end of the ramp. Its a slow process to heal and made worse by being diabetic 2, I need to pay more attention and be a little bit more careful. The withdrawal symptoms are getting worse, I am used to having a rod in my hand. Toes are healing quicker, might be able to go in the water to put the boat in soon.

Need to get a portable pump to the ramp and get rid of the PP.

Then need to find a way to move on the pelicans!!

Might need a sign asking people not to feed the pelicans at the ramp ??

Nasty looking wound. That would have hurt.

Might have to get your self some knee pads mate. Looks very tender hope it heals quick smart !

ouchhh good to hear your on the mend..keep flexing you elbow so your fishing arm doesn't lock up..holding a beer bottle helps ive heard...rick

If I was 20 year old might not of even got a scratch, the skin gets a bit thin as you get older.

I feel for ya Dino. I am a type 1 diabetic and only 35yrs old and it takes me a while to heal up as well mate fingers and toes especially. I am all ways super careful handling lures, hooks and fish . Smallest of cuts or nicks really suck and can be a absolute night mare. Good luck in your recovery mate.

Yeah the fingers and toes are the furtherest away from the heart to pump the blood to.
